A night of Anatolian Sufi music and poetry was organised by the Brighton group The Anatolian Friendship Association and took place in St Marys Church Hall, Brighton, Saturday 13th May
The event featured Latif Bolat, a specialist in ancient Turkish devotional music. Before the concert, he also gave a talk about the history of the music and related cultures. Poetry readings on the night were read by members of the audience and Serap Yilmaz, who also danced traditional Dervish dances.
